What I write about
I write about food and our relationship to cooking, and any recipes I come up with. Just don’t expect in-depth, step-by-step instructions; most of my cooking is intuitive built on years of trial and error. My assumption is that if you somehow stumble across the recipes, you have at least a decent understanding of how to cook.
I write about gardening and horticulture in general, and my experiences and relationship with it. Even though I have a diploma in horticulture and I’m working on a PgDip in garden design, I wouldn’t call myself a professional or expert in either of those things – I still have trouble identifying trees and flowers on sight alone. Lately I’ve been interested in mycology and how it impacts everything from human health to the health of the forests.
I write about my media consumption: books I’ve read, compelling shows, podcasts, and music I’ve watched or listened to. It might not all be current, or even from this decade, but if it strikes a chord with me (ha), I’ll write about it. Lately I’ve been more into non-fiction, and my TBR pile is mostly non-fiction. My podcast and television preferences lean comedy because life is too short for dramas.
I write about life in general. Poland is an ideal place for lovers of history, castles, mountains, nature, and food. There is a lot to see and do, and it’s all within a day’s drive or train ride from where I am located.
I also write about writing. Not necessarily about ~the craft, because I’m not an expert in that either, but what I am writing, how frustrating I find it, but also how much joy it gives me. It’s my ultimate expression of every emotion and creative idea I have.
